MISSIONS AND OUTREACH
SHARE His love with the world
We SHARE Christ’s love with the world by serving needs outside of the church family and by inviting people to know and become disciples of Jesus Christ. (James 2:14-18; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21; 2 Timothy 2:2)
We see this occurring mainly in Journey Groups. These groups exist not only for the purposes of fellowship and nurture in faith, but also to serve outside of the church and share the good news of Jesus. Group members encourage and pray for one another in their personal witness to Jesus.

As a Christian & Missionary Alliance Church we are compelled by the call of Acts 1:8 to share Jesus with our City, our Nation and to the Ends of the Earth.

At the local level, all service and witness happens in Journey Groups. Having considered the unique gifting of each group and through the leading of the Holy Spirit, various efforts have been adopted. We have a particular call to help those with food insecurity in our church neighborhood and to care for refugees through a partnership with World Relief. View the description of each Journey Group to see what they are engaged in.

Beyond local ministries we support the work of Michael & Megan Tapp at Bridges International in Seattle and Tommy & Joanna Kopp, serving with Moody Aviation in Spokane through Proclaim Aviation Ministries. Both ministries have a strong connection with international students, but operate in Washington State.

Our Global Mission Serve Team oversees the mission budget, assists with the relational connection between international workers (IWs) and the church, and provides logistical support for short-term mission trip teams.
Garland Church supports Alliance IWs Joyce Johns in Cambodia, The Bridge Community Center with CAMA Services in Kosovo and Will & Amanda Eason with IncaLink in Ecuador.
Additionally, we support Jeremy & Bethany Colvin with Choshen Farm in Zambia and un-named IWs serving in the Middle East.
